In 2024 Yoco implemented Abacum Workforce Planning to strengthen finance-led FP&A and headcount planning in South Africa, using Abacum Workforce Planning as a Workforce Planning application to centralize reporting and workforce scenarios. The deployment focused on the finance function and FP&A team, aligning reporting, budgeting, and personnel projection workflows under a single planning environment.
The implementation included configuration of FP&A modeling and automated reporting capabilities along with headcount planning modules and scenario modeling consistent with Workforce Planning best practices. Abacum Workforce Planning was configured to produce scheduled and ad hoc financial reports and workforce scenarios, standardizing driver-based assumptions and reducing manual consolidation work across the finance process.
Operational coverage was centered on Yoco's finance organization in South Africa, with governance adjustments to move recurring reporting cadence into the Abacum platform and to route approvals and scenario signoffs through finance workflows. As a result Yoco doubled reporting output and saved more than three days per reporting cycle, enabling the finance team to scale reporting capacity and delay immediate headcount increases by using headcount planning to evaluate hiring scenarios.
