In 2015, Zicom Electronic Security implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its core ERP Financial application. The initial implementation was followed by an onsite support engagement staffed by a three person team from 05-JAN-16 to 30-NOV-17, delivered with Technology Xpress Info Solutions as the system integrator supporting the deployment and ongoing support activities.
The implementation and support work focused on financial modules and adjacent order to cash capabilities. Oracle E-Business Suite EBS 12i was used to configure Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Oracle Asset, Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, Project Billing and Trading Community Architecture. Configuration items explicitly included GST setup for a multi organization model, payables bank account setup, monthly depreciation runs and reconciliation of the asset register to the trial balance, and setup of a lease business using custom contract billing in the O2C cycle.
Data conversion and integration work used Data Loader and PL SQL based routines, with attribute mapping and functional specifications produced for AR, AP and GL conversion programs. Trading Community Architecture was instrumented to create party records, party sites, locations and contacts, and custom report requirements were gathered and tested with technical resources using TOAD. Support processes included handling Service Requests through Oracle Metalink and close coordination between functional and technical teams for customizations and personalizations.
Governance and operationalization emphasized formal functional documentation, testing cycles and audit support for reconciliation between general ledger and subledgers. Functional responsibilities covered finance and MIS reporting, month end processes and state wise GSTR 3B preparation for GST recovery ledgers. The engagement combined implementation configuration, ongoing functional support and controlled customization under the oversight of Technology Xpress Info Solutions and Zicom finance stakeholders.
