Northern Star Resources | Oil, Gas and Chemicals | 4000 | $3.2B | Australia | INX Software | INX InFlight | Workforce Management | 2016 | n/a | In 2016, Northern Star Resources implemented INX InFlight as its Workforce Management application to centralize site administration and travel coordination for its FIFO operations. Northern Star Resources deployed INX InFlight to support HR, training administration, travel bookings and site entry processes for an 8/6 FIFO roster operating from Perth and to manage accommodation for a 600 man camp. The INX InFlight deployment was configured to manage traveller profiles, flight booking and amendment workflows, drive in and drive out bookings, accommodation reservations and GSDU clearance processing. The implementation also covered training administration capabilities including scheduling and booking of training and site inductions, creation and maintenance of training files, input to an Employee Role to Competency Matrix and month end procedures, with INX InFlight used alongside SAP for training and reporting. Operational integrations and toolchain usage are explicit to the implementation, INX InFlight interfaced in practice with SAP for ad hoc training reports and record reconciliation, and Pronto for receipting, work orders and stores reservations. Travel procurement and booking workflows referenced FCM Travel Solutions and Amex travel online, and daily flight coordination included direct liaison with Skippers Aviation, reflecting integrated travel vendor coordination within the Workforce Management scope. Governance and operational workflow changes tied to the INX InFlight rollout included routine auditing of training files, daily updates to site evacuation lists and check in and check out reports, coordination of emergency muster locations and fatigue management plans for delayed aircraft. The system supported transactional processes such as raising purchase requisitions for training services, maintaining master traveller spreadsheets, and producing departmental reports, embedding INX InFlight into HR, training, safety and operations administrative workflows. | |
