The deployment model prioritized a single functional domain initially, with plans to expand into other business areas once the Accounts Payable use case was proven and stabilized. Cletaon inSTREAM was configured to ingest supplier invoices from email, attachments, post and scanned documents, and to apply pattern learning to unstructured content. The implementation included document classification, key data extraction and automated validation workflows such as supplier detail verification, purchase order checks and currency conversion, enabling rule based business checks to be applied during processing. Operational coverage centered on end to end invoice intake and processing within Accounts Payable, with the application progressively learning from each transaction to improve automated handling. The system surfaces its interpretation through an intuitive Graphical User Interface that allows Accounts Payable Clerks to validate or amend extractions, the corrections feeding back into the learning model to raise confidence and accuracy as volumes increase. Governance followed a use case proof then expand approach, embedding clerk driven review and exception workflows to control automation ramp up and maintain data quality. The implementation emphasized collaborative machine learning, inline validation and staged rollout across the business, with ongoing improvement in extraction confidence and categorization accuracy documented as volumes scaled.
