In 2024, Numaligarh Refinery India implemented Smart-i smartXS NG, a Physical Access Control System to secure its Assam site and enforce staff attendance across HR and security operations. The project was commissioned via M/s. Firepro Systems and placed the Smart-i smartXS NG platform at the center of perimeter and internal access control.
The deployment used IP based multi door access control with biometric card readers, combined with web based time and attendance, visitor management and gate pass capabilities. Smart-i smartXS NG was configured to provide centralized MIS and reporting, consolidating event logs, access events and attendance records within a single access platform.
Integrations implemented include the integrated web based time and attendance module, visitor management workflows and gate pass processing, enabling cross functional data flow between security checkpoints and HR attendance systems. Governance adjustments included centralizing reporting and attendance review through the integrated access platform, and process changes to reduce proxy attendance through mandatory biometric verification at entry points. The implementation resulted in reduced proxy attendance and centrally available MIS and reporting from the integrated access platform.
