In 2016, RCI Europe implemented Salesforce Marketing Cloud to centralize customer transactional email communications. The deployment used Salesforce Marketing Cloud in the Marketing Automation category and was executed with Salesforce partner ListEngage to address a complex, multi-brand notification landscape.
The implementation consolidated 28 separate member notifications into a single dynamically-built, mobile-responsive email template that serves 26 brands in 19 languages. Functional capabilities delivered included dynamic content blocks, custom scripts, automation workflows and real-time message assembly to enable personalized notifications to be sent within minutes of a member transaction.
ListEngage handled the solution architecture and integration within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, enabling email and mobile messaging across RCI’s footprint of about 4,300 affiliated resorts in more than 100 countries. The configuration emphasized consistent branding, multilingual localization, journey orchestration across multiple touch points and the use of predictive intelligence for targeting and cross-sell messaging.
The platform was designed to be scalable and managed with very few technical resources, providing a centralized execution model for transactional communications and future member notifications. The new communications platform was expected to improve personalization, enforce brand consistency across 26 brands, generate significant ROI, reduce operational costs and increase sales through enhanced cross-selling.
