In 2011, BDA, Inc. implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as the core ERP Financial platform, pairing transactional ERP modules with a BI/analytics layer to support Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and finance process reporting. The initiative supported BDA’s branded merchandise operations across North America, the United Kingdom and China and targeted enterprise financial and supply chain analytics needs.
The implementation included Oracle EBS R12 modules and a BI/Analytics solution built from Oracle Business Intelligence applications, specifically Supply Chain Order Management Analytics, Financial Analytics and Procurement and Spend Analytics. The technical stack was installed and configured with OBIEE 11g, OBIA 7.9.6.3, DAC 11g, Informatica PowerCenter 9.0.1 and Oracle Database 11g on Linux, using Oracle SQL Developer and PL/SQL for data modeling and ETL tuning.
Data integration was executed against Oracle EBS R12 transactional sources, with data movement orchestrated through DAC and Informatica and reporting delivered via OBIEE 11g. The project also maintained and supported existing SSRS and SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 report assets, and configured both out-of-the-box and customized Informatica mappings, including modifications to accommodate Descriptive Flex Fields and EBS-specific attributes.
OSI Consulting served as the SI and the BI project manager function coordinated stakeholder engagement, requirements documentation, business case development, gap analysis and team mentoring. Project governance covered installation, configuration, analytics customization, training of the BI team on Oracle BI architecture, production administration and change request support, alongside user adoption activities such as targeted trainings and lunch-and-learn sessions to drive analytic consumption.

BDA, Inc. | Professional Services | 700 | $100M | United States | Oracle | Oracle OBIEE | Analytics and BI | 2011 |
In 2011, BDA, Inc. implemented Oracle OBIEE as an Analytics and BI solution to centralize enterprise reporting and KPI tracking across commercial and finance functions. OSI Consulting led the engagement, delivering a BI program that aligned executive requirements with a formal BI strategy and a documented set of analytic requirements.
The deployment focused on Oracle OBI Apps ERP Analytics modules, specifically Supply Chain Order Management Analytics, Financial Analytics, and Procurement and Spend Analytics to support Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and finance process measurement. Oracle OBIEE was used to build interactive reports and dashboards leveraging pivot tables, charts, and view selectors to present KPIs and metrics gathered from transactional sources.
Technical work included installation and configuration of OBIA, DAC, Informatica, and OBIEE 11g, with an Oracle 11g database backend and PL/SQL for data processing, deployed on Linux infrastructure. The team configured out of the box Informatica SDE and SIL mappings and performed mapping customizations to accommodate Descriptive Flex Fields, while administering the OBIA environment including OBIA 7.9.6.3, DAC 11g, and Informatica PowerCenter 9.0.1.
Project governance was run through a BI project manager who coordinated stakeholder workshops with executives, documented business intelligence requirements, built the business case for SCM and financial analytics, delegated project tasks, and trained the BI team on Oracle BI architecture and customization. Operational coverage extended to BDA business functions across Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Finance and supported reporting continuity by administering the OBIEE environment and handling change requests for existing SSRS and BusinessObjects reports.
