National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) | Professional Services | 250 | $38M | United States | Sage | Sage Intacct | ERP Financial | 2018 |
In 2018, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) migrated its accounting environment to Sage Intacct, adopting Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial platform to unify multi entity accounting across the national office and 90 chapters. The move migrated operations off on premise Sage 50 installations and local servers that required VPN access, and the implementation was executed with Quisitive as the systems integrator.
The implementation consolidated four national entities and nearly one hundred chapters and their subentities into a single cloud hosted accounting architecture. NAIFA configured a uniform chart of accounts and multi entity consolidation in Sage Intacct, enabling consolidated financial statements and organization wide visibility. Functional modules and capabilities implemented included core general ledger multi entity accounting, consolidated reporting, dashboards, invoicing and inter entity charging, with plans to leverage Sage Intacct budgeting capabilities in future phases.
Quisitive led process redesign and technical configuration, rebuilding accounting workflows to align with a cloud native architecture and to accommodate NAIFA’s chapter accounting services model. Migration work included extracting data from local servers and eliminating VPN dependent access, while strengthening data security by moving to the cloud hosted Sage Intacct environment. The engagement leveraged Quisitive’s prior support for NAIFA’s Dynamics SL work to align cloud ERP best practices with the association’s operational needs.
Operational scope covered the national finance office and accounting services provided to nearly 90 chapters across the United States, enabling department heads to access real time dashboards and drill into transaction details. Governance changes included standardizing the chart of accounts and centralizing reporting controls to support consolidated close and cross chapter collaboration. Process transformation prioritized uniform accounting policies, centralized consolidation workflows, and training led by Quisitive to transition chapter and national staff to the new system.
NAIFA reported improved access to financials, enhanced data security, and better financial reporting and insights as explicit outcomes of the Sage Intacct deployment. The cloud based Sage Intacct environment provided around the clock access for remote work and removed the need to manage local server upgrades. NAIFA plans to extend the deployment by using Sage Intacct budgeting capabilities to provide standardized financial statements and budgeting recommendations for chapters.
