In 2023, Tigros implemented Boomi AtomSphere to centralize and modernize integration across its retail IT landscape. The deployment used Boomi AtomSphere within an API Management,iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) approach to move away from tightly coupled point to point exchanges and enable a centralized integration orchestration layer.
The Boomi Enterprise Platform was configured and released across the estate in an approximately eight month project, delivering about 30 data transfer flows. Implementations focused on propagating core business objects, including product master data, channel assortments, prices and promotions, and on configuring data tables in alignment with Tigros business policies, leveraging Boomi AtomSphere orchestration and transformation capabilities.
Integrations explicitly targeted the company ERP and eCommerce systems, and the integration design shifted message distribution from a pull model initiated by destination systems to a push model where the master source provides updates when available. Operational coverage included merchandising, pricing, and multichannel commerce processes, with the integration layer mediating exchanges between an IBM Power based gestionale and multiple third party systems.
Governance and operational turning points included engagement of Syscons as implementation partner and a formal knowledge transfer program, where Syscons trained Tigros IT staff to perform ongoing maintenance and new development autonomously. The rollout emphasized configuration-driven integration, centralized error handling and change control, enabling internal teams to modify transfer scenarios without depending on target systems.
As reported by Tigros, the initiative delivered faster time to market for new business requirements and increased independence, flexibility and control over corporate data, outcomes that were explicitly linked to the adoption of Boomi AtomSphere and the Syscons training program.
