In 2019, 7-Eleven Malaysia deployed Diebold Nixdorf TP.net POS, implementing the Diebold Nixdorf TP.net POS application to standardize store-level transaction processing across its retail outlets, using the Point Of Sale software category. The deployment paired TP.net POS software with Diebold Nixdorf hardware to provide cashier transaction processing, receipt printing, payment acceptance, offline transaction buffering, and basic store inventory capture at the point of sale.
Configuration work centered on TP.net POS functional modules for real-time sales capture, receipt and journal generation, cashier session management, and audit logging, with firmware and software provisioning coordinated for in-store devices. The project included vendor-side project management and software consulting from Diebold Nixdorf for system configuration and on-site commissioning.
Integrations were implemented to synchronize POS transactions and inventory events with enterprise resource planning systems, specifically SAP, JDEdward, Oracle, and Kenan, enabling downstream financial posting and stock reconciliation workflows. Governance for the rollout emphasized centralized configuration control and staged store commissioning to align store operations with head office reconciliation and reporting processes.
