In 2020, A1 Slovenia implemented NetCracker BSS/OSS as part of a multiyear modernization program within the A1 Telecom Austria Group, adopting NetCracker BSS/OSS in the OSS/BSS domain. The initiative targeted a multitenanted, cloud-based deployment model to modernize the existing Resource Inventory solution and to align inventory processes across Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia.
The NetCracker BSS/OSS rollout comprised Netcracker Framework, Resource Inventory, Workflow Management, Discovery and Reconciliation, and Network Planning and Design. Configuration work emphasized multitenancy controls, standardized reconciliation and discovery processes, and workflow orchestration to support consistent inventory records and service activation flows.
Operational coverage spanned network operations, service provisioning and planning functions across four A1 group countries, with Netcracker providing joint development, professional services, maintenance and support for the multiyear program. The implementation integrated these OSS/BSS modules into existing service activation and network operations workflows to improve cross-border operational visibility and consistency.
Governance for the program followed a centralized multitenant policy model, enabling common configuration and process enforcement while allowing country-level instance partitioning for local operations. The joint development approach was used to accelerate feature delivery and align the solution to A1 group business and operational requirements.
The enhanced NetCracker BSS/OSS solution was positioned to deliver faster time-to-market for new services, greater operational visibility and consistent Resource Inventory processes, and it was explicitly intended to provide flexibility to launch advanced services including 5G across the multicountry footprint.
