AACA Parts & Supplies implemented Epicor Prophet 21 in 2018 to centralize Distribution ERP functions across its branch and corporate operations. The deployment targeted core distribution business functions including sales order processing, inventory management, and pricing governance for the corporate office and the companys 10 branches.
Configuration and automation work focused on sales data optimization, inventory cost controls, and automated pricing updates within Epicor Prophet 21. An IT specialist developed SQL-driven automation that automatically updated website sales for dealers and created web-facing user forms for quote inquiries and branch information, linking front-end lead flows to ERP records. The team leveraged more than eight years of Prophet 21 experience to tune data configurations and standardize order-to-cash workflows.
Integration effort included a middleware server API relationship with Epicor to enable data exchange, a Blue-Hawk e-commerce integration to support online sales, and telecommunications provisioning through Triton to stabilize branch network connectivity. The SQL program that updated website sales demonstrates a direct integration layer between the online storefront and Epicor Prophet 21, and contract renegotiation on the middleware server/API was part of the technical integration strategy.
Operational governance incorporated IT continuity and security measures, including a redundant backup system for corporate computers and an employee phishing training program with monitored progress. Commercial and operational outcomes recorded in project notes include savings of over $1,300 on the middleware API agreement, over $30,000 from the Blue-Hawk e-commerce deal, and approximately $2,600 per month from the Triton telecommunications arrangement, and staff attendance at Epicor Insights 2018 and P21 WWUG 2019 supported ongoing platform proficiency. These elements combined to operationalize Epicor Prophet 21 as AACA Parts & Supplies Distribution ERP backbone, aligning configuration, integrations, and governance with day-to-day distribution operations.
