Onit Legacy OnitX ELM Legal Practice Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Aaronson Rappaport Feinstein implemented OnitX ELM, deploying the Legal Practice Management application to centralize the firm billing function. The deployment focused on the Billing Department in New York and instrumented electronic, emailed and paper billing workflows managed by the firm’s Billing Services Manager from early 2018 onward. OnitX ELM was configured with a strong emphasis on invoicing automation, workflow orchestration, invoice routing and rejection handling, and maintenance of client billing rates. The implementation included integrations with the firm’s e-billing hubs and platforms that the billing team used, including ResolveStar, LSS, LegalTracker, Genesis, LegalExchange, LegalX, Collaborati, BillingPoint and CounselLink, to ensure consistent rate application and client delivery requirements. Operational governance accompanied the rollout, with new hire training, staff workload assignment and annual written reviews executed by billing leadership, and close coordination with the finance group on collections and dispute resolution. The project supported invoicing enhancements and process automations led by the Billing Services Manager, and the team coordinated the OnitX ELM rollout alongside a separate conversion effort to ProLaw.
