In 2015, Ability Options implemented ConnX Leave Management to centralize Absence and Leave Management for its workforce. The deployment targeted payroll and HR operations supporting more than 750 employees across two legal entities and structured around fortnightly payroll cycles.
ConnX Leave Management was configured to import approved leave records and to support manual timesheet entry for employees with variable hours. Functional configuration covered leave request approval workflows, absence balance accounting, and integration points to route approved leave into payroll processing queues.
Operational integrations included inbound timesheet imports from TimeTeq and ongoing synchronization with ConnX leave records. Payroll processing workflows referenced Sage MicrOpay, and a transition of payroll systems from MicrOpay to Microsoft Dynamics NAV was executed in July 2017, including award interpretation setup and data migration activities linked to payroll and leave reconciliation.
Day to day operations encompassed fortnightly payroll processing, superannuation processing, entry of new starter information, processing of termination payments and manual back pay adjustments, with payroll and HR teams maintaining MicrOpay and ConnX databases to ensure accuracy of employee and employment information. Governance focused on data maintenance, timely leave approvals and coordinated reconciliation between leave records and payroll inputs.
