In 2015, Ace Bakery implemented Microsoft 365 as its Collaboration platform across the organization. The Canada based consumer packaged goods company deployed Microsoft 365 to support corporate productivity and cross functional collaboration for roughly 500 employees.
Microsoft 365 was configured to deliver email and calendaring, document collaboration and versioning, intranet content management, team chat, and file synchronization capabilities common to the Collaboration category, with core services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business used to enable workflows and shared document libraries. Public site references show Microsoft 365 is used in web content workflows and for hosting or linking corporate assets on their website.
Operational governance emphasized centralized tenant administration and identity management, aligned with collaboration governance covering external sharing controls, retention policies, and permission models to support marketing, operations, and sales functions across Canada. The implementation scaled configuration and access controls to a mid market CPG organization and positioned Microsoft 365 as the primary Collaboration platform.

| Transplace | Legacy | Transplace TMS | Transportation Management | SCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 ACE Bakery implemented Transplace TMS for Transportation Management. The deployment centralized order processing and transportation planning for ACE Bakery and affiliated brands, enabling consolidated LTL to full truck load conversion and route selection to improve freight efficiency. The Transplace TMS supported daily operations at the Oakville, Ontario site and across ACE Bakery’s retail distribution footprint.
Core functional modules configured in Transplace TMS included order management, load consolidation and optimization, routing and carrier tendering, rate negotiation and contract rate administration, appointment scheduling for retailer docks, and shipment status management. Configuration emphasized automated tendering to third-party carriers and maintenance of current shipment information within the Transplace TMS to support operational dispatch and tracking workflows.
Operational workflows used the TMS to tender freight to third-party carriers and to manage negotiated spot and contract rate agreements, with scheduling workflows covering deliveries to major retailers including Costco, Wal-Mart, Target, Sobeys, and Sisco Foods. The system was used to record exceptions and drive resolution for truck non-operation, driver and customer conflicts, load damage, and loading and unloading delays.
Governance and process changes included participation in RFP development, establishment of carrier rate levels through negotiation, and continuous improvement routines led by logistics planners. Explicit outcomes reported alongside the implementation included savings up to 15% of customers' annual transportation expenses and more centralized issue resolution via current shipment data in Transplace TMS.
