In 2018 Achievers implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its core ERP Financial system to centralize accounting, finance, and reporting workflows across its corporate and acquired subsidiaries. The deployment focused on rearchitecting and rebuilding the existing NetSuite instance to correct prior configuration errors, with a data remediation program that updated more than 2 million records covering end users, products, subsidiaries and reporting artifacts.
Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to support core accounting and financial close workflows, consolidated reporting, multi-subsidiary financial structures, and tax calculation processes. Configuration and automation work included close process controls and standardization of month-end procedures, supported by development and testing plans, end-user training, and a sustainment plan to keep accounting and reporting configurations consistent.
Integrations were explicitly implemented with Avalara for sales tax calculation, Salesforce for CRM alignment, JitterBit for integration orchestration, and several proprietary systems used by the business. A custom Avalara integration into Oracle NetSuite ERP and proprietary systems was built to calculate sales tax at scale for more than 1 million customers, and multiple domestic and international acquisitions were integrated into NetSuite, Avalara, and proprietary platforms to consolidate financial data.
Program governance followed structured project life cycle practices, including project initiation, development, implementation, testing, and formal end-user training. Stakeholder communication and escalation channels were maintained throughout the rollout, and the accounting leadership led operational change by supervising the accounting team and instituting process improvements to control project costs and deliverables.
Operational outcomes recorded in-house include accurate financials following the NetSuite overhaul and a materially accelerated monthly close, with the close window reduced from 12 business days to 5 business days while supervising the accounting team. The implementation covered operational regions including the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia as part of educating new teams on business processes and best practices.
