In 2021, ACTenviro implemented Clearstar ESR Check as its BackGround Screening application to support HR onboarding, candidate screening, and compliance workflows. The deployment targeted the Human Resources function responsible for onboarding and recruiting, using Clearstar ESR Check to initiate and manage background checks, drug tests, and physicals that feed hiring decisions.
Clearstar ESR Check was configured to support standard BackGround Screening capabilities including candidate screening workflows, order and tracking of checks, adjudication and result return, and status notifications to hiring managers. The configuration aligned with existing HR processes for compiling HR documents and candidate management, enabling HR Generalists to initiate checks and maintain screening records alongside onboarding artifacts.
Operational integration tied Clearstar ESR Check into ACTenviro's HR ecosystem, with screening activities coordinated with Paycom for employee record management, ZipRecruiter and Kelmar for candidate acquisition and requisition tracking, and Concentra for physicals and drug testing coordination. Clearstar ESR Check was used alongside these systems to associate screening orders with candidate records and to route screening outcomes into the HR intake and hiring workflows.
Governance and process changes centered on formalizing screening as a discrete BackGround Screening capability within HR, with HR Generalists responsible for candidate intake, ordering checks, and communicating results to hiring managers while maintaining affirmative action and onboarding documentation. The rollout emphasized operational standardization of screening tasks from order placement to result review and record retention.
