In 2012 Active International implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as an ERP Financial platform, deploying PeopleSoft Financials 7.5 to centralize core accounting and reporting. The initiative was anchored in a broader Active Inventory Management System project and co-managed with the company Finance department to build a Media Bank Management system for media inventory tracking and financial treatment.
The implementation included configuration and rollout of PeopleSoft Projects and Inventory modules to support project accounting and inventory valuation workflows, and the team developed key financial reports within the PeopleSoft Financials 7.5 environment. Direction was provided to a technical team responsible for unifying disparate systems developed in different tools and technologies, and for specifying module-level requirements and data model artifacts.
Integration work focused on developing interfaces between Oracle PeopleSoft ERP and the DDS Donovan system, with the technical stack using Gupta SQLWindows 5.01, Visual Basic 6.0, ERWin, and Microsoft SQL Server versions 2000 and 6.5 on Windows 2000 servers. The integration scope encompassed transaction-level interfaces and extract routines to feed PeopleSoft Projects, Inventory, and core financial ledgers, and the team delivered interface specifications and the associated financial reporting extracts.
Governance and operational ownership rested with the Finance department in coordination with the internal technical lead who directed interface development and reporting. Process changes centered on consolidating inventory information into a single Media Bank Management construct and aligning project accounting controls to the PeopleSoft Projects module, with role-based responsibilities assigned for report generation and interface monitoring.
Oracle PeopleSoft ERP functioned as the central ERP Financial system for accounting, project cost tracking, and inventory management in this implementation, with PeopleSoft Projects and Inventory modules explicitly implemented to support finance and operations workflows. The deployment emphasized modular PeopleSoft configuration, interface development to the DDS Donovan system, and technical stewardship of legacy tool integrations.
