In 2022, ADB SAFEGATE adopted SAP S/4 HANA as part of a RISE with SAP program, implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition to serve as its ERP Financial backbone across global operations. The program targeted a simultaneous go live in 25 countries, reached live in 10 months from project inception, and has reported approximately 100% system availability since go live.
The implementation configured core finance, intercompany accounting, and project management capabilities within SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, while integrating configure price quote workflows through SAP CPQ. The deployment also included global CRM and field services processes via SAP Sales Cloud, workforce management via SAP SuccessFactors, and expense management through SAP Concur, with SAP Cloud ALM adopted for application lifecycle management and monitoring.
The solution was deployed in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment as part of the RISE with SAP offering, and TheValueChain acted as the implementation partner with support from the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services Private Cloud Customer Center. Integrations were explicitly implemented between SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition and SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Concur, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP CPQ, while SAP Business Technology Platform is being used for extensions and future supply chain visibility initiatives.
Governance and rollout followed a programmatic structure with business process owners assigned across five lines of business, a strict schedule for delivery, testing, and training, and four iterative testing cycles including an initial user acceptance test two months after kickoff. The project participated in a customer care program and used a project coach to align regional implementation teams, with dress rehearsals and data migration waves used to validate cutover sequences and speed issue resolution.
Post go live, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition smoothed intercompany operations and enabled 24x7 access to finance data, easing cross border postings across tax zones and currencies. The SAP CPQ integration removed pricing spreadsheet transfers and synchronized quote data in real time, while SAP Concur linked with S/4HANA and SuccessFactors to automate expense allocation to projects and accelerate reimbursements. ADB SAFEGATE is planning to extend visibility across its supply chain using SAP BTP and to use Sales Cloud opportunity data to better inform production and procurement processes.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022 ADB SAFEGATE implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as part of a broader RISE with SAP program that included SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition deployed in a Microsoft Azure environment. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, categorized as Core HR, was provisioned to centralize human capital management records and support global HR processes across the business.
The implementation configured SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to hold global HCM master data and to support iterative data migration and validation activities. The project followed four iterative testing periods and the first user acceptance testing milestone occurred two months after kickoff, enabling rapid identification and resolution of data and process issues prior to go live.
Employee Central was integrated into an enterprise SAP landscape that includes SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Concur, and SAP CPQ, with extension and integration capability planned on SAP Business Technology Platform. These integrations enabled automated allocation of expenses to projects through SAP Concur, synchronization of quotation data between SAP CPQ and SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, and 24x7 access to reconciled finance and HR data across 25 countries that went live simultaneously.
Governance emphasized crossfunctional ownership and disciplined rollout controls, business process owners were assigned across five lines of business, and the project leveraged the Private Cloud Customer Center team and the implementation partner TheValueChain. Application lifecycle management used SAP Cloud ALM to detect issues proactively, perform root cause analysis, and accelerate problem resolution while participating in a customer care program and using a project coach to align regional rollout plans.
Outcomes reported by the program included a 10 month timeline from project inception to go live, near continuous system availability since go live, simplified intercompany finance operations with improved cross border postings and reconciliations, reduced reliance on manual pricing spreadsheets through real time CPQ synchronization, and streamlined expense management with timely reimbursements driven by the integrated SAP Concur and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central configuration.
