Serrala Legacy Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, Adient North America implemented Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable to centralize and automate its AP Automation workflows across purchasing and supplier management. The Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable deployment was positioned to support end to end invoice processing and vendor master tasks while aligning with Adient’s established purchasing procedure and requisition approval flows. Configuration focused on requisition to pay orchestration, invoice capture and approval workflows, vendor setup and supplier communications. The implementation was configured to accommodate acquiring quotes for requisitions, entering approved requisitions into Ariba, submitting requisitions through Ariba, and handling accounts payable validations and exceptions within the Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable environment. Integrations were implemented with Ariba, Dolphin PTS, and SAP to preserve upstream and downstream record continuity. Approved requisitions and purchase orders are processed in Ariba, POs are received and managed in Ariba, invoices are received in Dolphin PTS and invoice status and payment tracking are reconciled into SAP, while Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable serves as the AP Automation engine coordinating invoice workflows and vendor master updates. Operational scope emphasized Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Supplier Management functions, with AP acting as the primary day to day point of contact for suppliers, monitoring supplier performance and onboarding new vendors. Governance preserved Adient’s purchasing procedure, included month end PO close activities, and centralized vendor contact and issue resolution through the Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable instance.

Workday Legacy Workday Benefits Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Adient North America implemented Workday Benefits as part of a broader Workday HCM rollout covering Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking and Talent Management, deploying Workday Benefits to support the company Benefits Administration processes. The implementation was supported by in-house integration development and configuration work centered in Plymouth, MI, aligning Workday Benefits with HR and payroll functional requirements across the organization. The implementation configured core Benefit modules and business processes, including custom business process validation and sequence generators, and the maintenance of a Business Process Monitoring Dashboard to alert the configuration team to pending processes and suggest process improvements. Functional configuration work included calculated fields and advanced reporting setups to produce Headcount, Compensation, Talent Management, Recruiting, Benefits and Payroll reports, using matrix and composite report types to meet varied stakeholder needs. Integrations were built using Workday EIB templates, Core Connectors, Document Transformations and Workday Studio, with transformations authored in XSLT and functions such as ETV and XTT applied for cloud-based XSLT transformations. Integration patterns included inbound and outbound data flows, generation of multiple file formats, secure file delivery over SFTP and use of SOAP UI, WSDL and XML for API level validation, demonstrating an integration architecture that combined native Workday tools and XSLT-based transformations to connect third party systems. Governance and operational controls emphasized reporting hygiene, security and testing discipline, with the team conducting report audits to remove stale reports and enforcing reporting best practices, hiding delivered reports that did not follow company definitions. Security configuration work comprised system and integration user permissions, field and business object level access controls, creation of a custom user based security role for a director to view compensation across specified cost centers, and configuration of Domain Security Policies merged into security groups. Quality assurance activities included unit and integration testing, and UAT coverage for Supervisory Organizations, Matrix Organizations, Cost Centers, Locations and their hierarchies. Operational support and sustainment were delivered through integrated reporting and production support processes, with audit reports used to identify data inconsistencies and guide the production support team in remediation efforts. Workday Benefits operated within the Benefits Administration category to serve HR, Payroll and Talent Management business functions, with integration and reporting assets developed and maintained by the Workday integration team based in Plymouth, MI.

Exterro Legacy Exterro Zapproved ZDiscovery Legal Practice Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Adient North America implemented Exterro Zapproved ZDiscovery as part of its Legal Practice Management portfolio. The deployment was led from the Corporate Applications team, with a focus on formalizing eDiscovery workflows, legal hold orchestration, and centralized document review support across the company legal function. The Exterro Zapproved ZDiscovery implementation included configuration of standard eDiscovery modules for data collection, processing, review management, and custodian preservation workflows, augmented by customized integrations and automation. The Corporate Applications group developed custom modules and reporting processes, and they extended configuration work using XML, HTML and JSON where required to meet legal operations requirements in Onit CLM and related systems. Integration work linked Exterro Zapproved ZDiscovery into the broader corporate application set that the team implemented and maintained, including ONIT, GEMS, CounselLink, ProxyClick, DocuSign and HotDocs. Operational coverage and support for the solution were managed across the Americas region with governance and ownership extending to LATAM, APAC and EMEA, reflecting the team responsibility for Corporate Applications across those regions. Governance and operational processes were formalized through role based access control and access control list management, user acceptance testing cycles, and a documented reporting cadence used to prioritize technical work. The team maintained a consolidated knowledge base and revised support workflows, which contributed to a documented 20 percent reduction in escalations and average resolution times for corporate application issues.
