| INNOVO Tech | Legacy | Innovo Sphera MES | Manufacturing Execution System | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Adler Pelzer Group Italy implemented Innovo Sphera MES, deploying a Manufacturing Execution System to formalize shop floor control at the Pignataro Maggiore production site in the automotive sector. The deployment emphasized Industry 4.0 process monitoring for thermoforming, plastic injection molding, and PUR foaming and was used directly by manufacturing engineering and line teams for day to day production oversight. Innovo Sphera MES is cited by site engineers as the primary MES application supporting production operations and work instruction management.
Configuration centered on standard MES capabilities, including operation cards, production cycle monitoring, work instruction authoring and versioning, cycle time measurement, and shop floor data capture for traceability and quality analysis. The implementation included templates for operation cards and structured instruction sets so that engineers could prepare and update work instructions and manage work cycles in a repeatable way. These capabilities supported continuous improvement workflows such as identification and removal of non value added activities.
Operational coverage included direct collaboration with logistics to define line feeding methods, specifically Kanban management and milk run coordination, reflecting an integrated production to supply flow. The implementation incorporated instrumentation and shop floor data capture consistent with Industry 4.0 practice, enabling process parameter collection and monitoring used in process analysis activities. Manufacturing engineering used the system for process monitoring and analysis across multiple forming and molding technologies.
Governance and process changes were driven by site manufacturing engineers who used Innovo Sphera MES to formalize World Class Manufacturing practices, supporting the Workplace Organization pillar and Early Equipment Management co pillar. The MES supported Lean methods deployed at the site, including Kaizen events, SMED, Ishikawa analysis, and Kanban, and was used to codify standard work and operation layouts at workstation level. System use centered on production, industrialization, quality, and logistics functions without external implementation partner attribution.
