The implementation included Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and associated reporting and budgeting tools, electronic banking using SWIFT Gateway, a Payment Factory capability, workflow tools and document digitization modules. Configuration work emphasized Financial Reporting and Consolidation, FP&A processes and treasury automation to standardize month end, payment and cash management operations.
Integration and operational coverage extended across freight forwarding operations and job accounting workflows, with a rollout approach that supported finance process harmonization across the top 25 countries and the Asia Pacific region. Shared services migrations were executed to move country finance processes into centralized service centers, aligning operational touchpoints between country accounting, operations and regional finance teams.
Governance changes included development of a target operating model, the establishment of shared service center operations to support country finance processes, and strengthening of controlling and FP&A functions. Workflow automation and centralized payment and banking channels were used to enforce standardized controls and accelerate transactional processing across the finance organization.
The program streamlined finance processes across the top 25 countries and enabled the finance organization to focus on delivering greater value to the business, while supporting post deal integration and regional restructuring efforts.
