In 2018, Agmi Traffic implemented MX-Relay E-Mail Protection, a Secure Email Gateways (SEGs) solution to secure corporate email traffic in the Netherlands. The deployment targeted company wide email protection that spans manufacturing operations and administrative functions and was configured to inspect both inbound and outbound SMTP flows.
MX-Relay E-Mail Protection was configured with core Secure Email Gateways (SEGs) capabilities including anti spam filtering, signature and heuristic anti malware scanning, content and attachment filtering, TLS encryption and policy based routing. The MX-Relay management console was used to define attachment handling rules, quarantine retention and automated suppression lists, aligning email policy enforcement with operational communication needs.
Integration was implemented at the mail flow layer by positioning MX-Relay E-Mail Protection as an SMTP relay in front of Agmi Traffic mail systems, and by leveraging directory service attributes for policy mapping and recipient based rules. Centralized logging and reporting were enabled to consolidate security events, and quarantine workflows were provisioned for mailbox owners and administrators to review flagged messages.
Operational governance emphasized centralized administration, role based access to the MX-Relay management console and documented procedures for quarantine review and incident escalation. The implementation structured email security controls across IT operations, compliance oversight and manufacturing communications to ensure consistent policy enforcement.
