In 2019, AIG Thailand implemented Merimen e-Claims from Merimen Ventures to digitize and streamline its motor insurance claims value chain. The deployment targeted claims operations, centralizing intake, quotation review and approval workflows for surveyors, workshops, adjusters and customers under a single Insurance Claims Management application.
Merimen e-Claims was configured to automate repair quotation workflows, route approvals to adjusters, and provide case management and communications capabilities between internal claims teams and external partners. The implementation also introduced remote interactive video surveying as an embedded inspection capability to support rapid evidence capture and virtual adjuster reviews.
Operational coverage extended across AIG Thailand’s motor claims processing, connecting external surveyors and workshop partners with internal adjuster and customer service functions to shorten handoffs and improve communications. The platform architecture emphasized a partner-facing intake and adjuster-facing review console to orchestrate quotation review and approval steps within the Insurance Claims Management environment.
Governance and process changes focused on approval routing and communications protocols to support the new digital workflow and remote surveying practice. The Merimen e-Claims launch reduced turnaround for repair quotations, achieving over 95% of repair quotations reviewed within 1 day, and introduced remote interactive video surveying to speed claims handling and customer experience.
