In 2015, Aimia implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR system. The deployment established Workday HCM regionally as the system of choice for HRMS functions, intended to unify HR transaction processing across the organization.
The implementation covered Core HR modules typical for the category, including worker profile management, organizational and position management, absence and time off tracking, benefits enrollment, compensation administration, and configurable HR transaction workflows. Workday HCM was configured to enable employee self service for routine requests and to provide HR teams with centralized transaction processing.
Operational scope focused on HR and people operations across Aimia's regional footprint, with HR teams operating day to day administration in Workday HCM and employees encouraged to use self service for common tasks. Change management activity included seminars, instructor led trainings, and informal lunch and tea sessions to up skill employees and increase adoption.
Governance was instituted to standardize processes and control HR transactions, introducing standardized approval workflows, role based access controls, and centralized process documentation to enforce consistent handling of hires, transfers, and terminations. Aimia used Workday HCM as the springboard to standardize processes and introduce governance across all HR transactions.

In 2014, Aimia deployed MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as its Analytics and BI platform to centralize BI delivery and reporting functions across the business. The implementation emphasized end to end delivery of BI business requests, positioning MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as the primary tool for report development, dashboarding, and analytics consumption within the company.
Implementation work included solution design and detailed specification writing, providing both functional and technical specification documents. The team authored data mapping deliverables between sources and targets, produced ETL business rule documentation, and captured test cases and test results to validate development builds, aligning MicroStrategy ONE Analytics configuration with business reporting requirements.
The deployment integrated with a PADB Data Warehouse and IBM DataStage ETL processes, and leveraged the MicroStrategy platform for semantic modeling and report execution. Operational coverage spanned BI analysts, technical development teams, and business stakeholders, with the analyst role bridging requirements, data mapping, and validation activities to ensure consistency between sources, ETL logic, and MicroStrategy outputs.
Governance and delivery processes were enforced through vendor management for the delivery lifecycle, formal review of test cases and DEV test results, and structured handoffs between business and technical teams. Documentation driven governance included functional and technical specifications, data mapping, and ETL rule sets, which underpinned change control and release validation for MicroStrategy ONE Analytics within Aimia's Analytics and BI environment.
