In 2017, AIP Publishing implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial solution. The Oracle Financials ERP Cloud Implementation Project was executed in Oracle Cloud, deployed initially on Version 11 with an upgrade path to Version 12 in the Cloud.
The implementation targeted core financial modules common to ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and cash management, with configuration for month end close, financial reporting and automated transaction workflows. Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to automate standard finance processes, reduce manual touchpoints and embed controls for transaction processing.
The deployment integrated Oracle Cloud ERP with AIP Publishing's third party business solutions using cloud integration patterns and API based connectors to streamline document and transaction flows between publishing operations and finance. Operational coverage centered on finance and accounting functions across the organization, bringing invoicing, receipts and reconciliation into the centralized cloud environment.
Project management delivered the Version 11 to Version 12 upgrade in the Cloud and emphasized paperless initiatives, electronic invoice handling and approval workflow automation to support governance and process transformation. Explicit outcomes from the project include automation of standard processes, more efficient integration with third party solutions and progress toward paperless operations.

In 2021, AIP Publishing deployed Cloudflare CDN on their website publishing.aip.org to manage public web delivery. Cloudflare CDN is implemented as the Content Delivery Network for AIP Publishing's public journal and editorial content, and the full application name Cloudflare CDN is configured to sit between end users and origin web servers for publishing.aip.org.
The implementation emphasizes standard CDN architecture with edge caching, TLS termination at the edge, HTTP protocol optimization, and CDN-managed DNS routing to the origin. Functional capabilities implemented include static asset caching, HTML and cache-control rule configuration, content invalidation, and security modules such as the Web Application Firewall and DDoS protection when enabled. Operational ownership resides with the web operations and site reliability teams who manage DNS configuration, cache rules, and certificate provisioning, and the deployment is executed through DNS routing changes to direct traffic through Cloudflare to the origin infrastructure.
