U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Legacy USCIS E-verify HR Compliance, BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, Air Center Helicopters implemented USCIS E-Verify. USCIS E-Verify was deployed to strengthen employment eligibility checks as part of the company’s HR Compliance,BackGround Screening posture across its HR onboarding workflows for the Burleson, Texas headquartered operator with approximately 200 employees in the United States. The implementation focused on standardizing employment eligibility verification and case management capabilities native to USCIS E-Verify, including new hire case creation, verification status tracking, and resolution workflows for tentative nonconfirmation events. USCIS E-Verify was configured to operate alongside existing HR processes for inputting employee information into the company HRIS and to run in concert with background screening activities and documentation intake required prior to onboarding. Operational ownership rested with the Director of Human Resources who led the company HR team and served as primary administrator for E-Verify processes, coordinating with the legal function on complex employee relations and regulatory requirements. Governance practices instituted included centralized documentation capture for new hires, maintenance of training records, and preparation for internal and FAA audits, with the Director also holding Company Designated Employer Representative responsibilities for related DOT and FAA regulated programs. The deployment connected compliance, HR operations, and background screening workflows to reduce legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance as stated by HR leadership. The configuration emphasized audit readiness and procedural controls for onboarding, verification, and record retention without introducing external implementation partner details.
