ECi Software Solutions Legacy ECI Macola Manufacturing ERP, Distribution ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Air Lift Company implemented ECI Macola to centralize shop floor and inventory operations, adopting ECI Macola within a Manufacturing ERP,Distribution ERP application footprint. The deployment focused on core production and distribution needs for a midmarket manufacturing organization, consolidating work order processing and inventory transfers into a single system of record. ECI Macola was configured to support production work order processing, planned orders for production scheduling, inventory location transfers, and scrap tracking. Functional capabilities emphasized shop floor control and barcode-enabled transactions, with ECI Macola capturing finished goods transfers to inventory locations and supporting planned order-driven production quantities. Integrations and operational coverage include handheld barcode scanner transaction flows used by operators to issue and close work orders, and procedural integration of crimping checklist data into the production record. Operational scope encompassed production floor operators, team leaders, and production coordinators, aligning Macola transaction processing with routine tasks such as issuing work orders, transferring finished goods, and recording machine settings. Governance was established around existing production controls, with team leaders reviewing crimping checklist sheets and suggesting setup parameter changes, and production coordinators addressing root causes when parts fall outside tolerance. Operational quality targets were retained within the system, scrap level goals are set at 3%, and production and testing records including production work orders and crimping machine specifications are retained in their designated locations within the ECI Macola-managed processes.
