In 2024, Air Liquide Italia implemented FIS Integrated Payables within its finance systems program, deploying the FIS Integrated Payables platform to support accounts payable automation across the Group financing and treasury footprint. The deployment is aligned with the AP Automation category and is positioned alongside broader treasury systems work managed by the IS and Treasury Project Officer in the Group Financing and Treasury Department.
The implementation focused on AP Automation capabilities typical for the category, including invoice capture and validation, configurable approval workflows, payment file generation, supplier master onboarding, exception handling, and reconciliation workflows. Configuration work emphasized static data governance for entities, bank accounts, and GL mappings, and delivery artifacts included functional specifications, blueprints, workflow documentation, system administration procedures, and test scenarios.
Integrations and interfaces were managed as part of the program, with operational monitoring of SFTP and Autosys processes and established connectivity with financial and analytics systems cited in program documentation, including Kyriba, FXall, SAP, and Power BI. The integration scope was coordinated with a central treasury team and subsidiary key users to ensure end to end payment orchestration and reporting flows consistent with AP Automation workflows.
Governance and rollout leveraged a central PMO model, with a 15 person central Treasury team and approximately 20 key users in subsidiaries across regions driving requirements, sprint artifacts, and sign offs. Program governance included regular project and steering committee materials, a risk map and centralized project documentation repository, and programme level budget oversight in line with existing treasury system projects.
