HF Security Legacy HF Security A Series Time Clock (Hardware) HCM n/a 2020 2020
In 2020 Airtel Networks deployed HF Security A Series as part of a telecom KYC and SIM registration program in Nigeria, West Africa, using the Time Clock (Hardware) product family. The rollout began and went live in 2020, centered on customised FP05 Android handheld fingerprint terminals supplied by HF Security to support field identity capture for SIM registration and telecom KYC. The HF Security A Series implementation focused on biometric enrollment and on device fingerprint capture, using FP05 Android handheld fingerprint terminals configured for enrolment workflows and on device verification. Device firmware and handheld form factor were adapted for mobile registration use cases, enabling offline capture with synchronization to centralized verification workflows when connectivity was available. Operational coverage targeted Airtel Nigeria enrollment channels, including field teams and point of sale registration operations across Nigeria, aligning the Time Clock (Hardware) devices with existing SIM registration processes. The project integrated the HF Security A Series biometric capture into Airtel Networks SIM registration and KYC procedures, consolidating identity capture at the point of enrolment without naming specific backend systems. Governance and rollout emphasized standardized biometric enrollment processes, device provisioning and operational controls for field agents to support compliance requirements. The deployment helped reduce fraud and streamline enrolment while improving registration accuracy and regulatory compliance as part of Airtel Networks telecom KYC efforts in Nigeria.
