In 2019, Aish Technologies implemented PTC Windchill Supplier Management in the United Kingdom. The deployment targeted Supplier Relationship Management as part of a product development and manufacturing transformation to establish EBOM and MBOM governance, improve supplier parts management, and deliver 3D work instructions to the shop floor.
The PTC Windchill Supplier Management implementation focused on PLM-centric master data and configuration of EBOM and MBOM structures, supplier parts cataloging, and change management workflows to enable real-time product data visibility. Functional capabilities implemented included supplier parts lifecycle control, engineering change capture and release processes, and generation and distribution of 3D work instructions for manufacturing operations.
Root Solutions led the implementation and integration of the Windchill-driven product data model with shop floor instruction delivery, supporting teams across product development, manufacturing and supplier management in the United Kingdom. The deployment centralized supplier parts information and enforced consistency between engineering bills of materials and manufacturing bills of materials to reduce manual handovers between departments.
The implementation established EBOM/MBOM governance and formalized change management processes using PTC Windchill Supplier Management, improving control of supplier parts and enabling real-time product data visibility. Root Solutions led the rollout and configuration activities, and Aish Technologies gained reduced manual handovers and improved change management as explicit outcomes.
