In 2017, Al Sraiya Holding Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX as an ERP Financial application across the group's companies in Doha, Qatar, engaging executive stakeholders including the COO, CFO and IT director as part of program governance. The implementation was positioned to centralize finance, trade and retail operations under a single ERP Financial platform while aligning configuration and rollout with JV sister companies' managers. The Microsoft Dynamics AX deployment was built on AX 2012 R3 architecture and included two AOS servers, a batch server, two reporting servers, two Enterprise Portal web servers, a central Microsoft SQL Server database, two Dynamics AX client instances and a Retail asynchronous messaging server. The infrastructure supported SSRS and ETL processes and provided the basis for reporting and analytics across finance and operations. Functional implementation covered core finance modules including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, budgeting, cost accounting, bank management and fixed assets, alongside trade and logistics capabilities in SCM for sales, purchasing, inventory and production, product master management and retail operations. Configuration work used Dynamics AX tools such as data import/export framework and task recorder workflows, and technical development delivered customized reports, forms and workflow processes with SSRS, SSIS and SSAS and Power BI designs for departmental metrics. Operational integration and application maintenance included CRM, Power BI, Power Apps, Optimum HRMS, payroll applications, the ASHG attendance system and a SharePoint based ASHG support portal, with responsibility for database administration and ongoing maintenance retained in house. Governance emphasized requirement analysis, process mapping, solution design and coordinated implementation under an ERP project management and techno functional consulting model to enforce business best practices.
