In 2020, Alcentra implemented StoneShot as its Marketing Automation platform and embedded StoneShot on its corporate website to centralize digital campaign execution. The deployment focused on site-level instrumentation and browser based tracking to enable web driven lead capture and campaign orchestration across their public content and gated assets.
StoneShot was configured to support standard Marketing Automation capabilities including email campaign management, web forms and landing pages, tracking pixels and session capture, contact segmentation, and campaign workflow orchestration. The implementation emphasized content personalization and automated nurture sequences consistent with Marketing Automation functional workflows, and StoneShot was used to author, schedule, and sequence outbound communications tied to web interactions.
Operational coverage centered on Alcentra’s marketing and communications functions, with the platform operating against the corporate website as the primary touch point for investor and client engagement. Data capture and consent flows were implemented at the web layer to align contact capture with regional privacy requirements, and StoneShot managed contact records and segmentation for downstream campaign targeting.
Governance and process changes focused on centralized campaign approval and role based access to StoneShot, establishing content review workflows and data handling rules for marketing operations. The rollout prioritized site level tagging, form standardization, and campaign templates to streamline execution and ensure consistent use of StoneShot across digital channels.

In 2020, Alcentra implemented SS&C Advent Geneva in its Portfolio and Investment Management environment, deploying the application to support fund accounting and valuation workflows. The implementation sat within Fund Control and Data Management and was aligned with a back office program that included outsourcing reconciliations and trade settlement while maintaining an in‑house IBOR function, with a core operational team of six fund controllers and accountants driving the rollout.
The SS&C Advent Geneva implementation focused on portfolio accounting, NAV production and valuation workflows, and was used to construct NAV packs, investor reports, and portfolio and contribution reports. Geneva was configured alongside a customized front end built in Allvue, and the project included significant work on data testing, static data integrity and built in calculations to ensure consistency across reporting outputs.
Integrations and data orchestration extended to Allvue, Everest and BMS as part of a multi‑system reporting stack, and Geneva fed the RAW Reporting and Warehouse Solution for centralized reporting and analytics. The deployment supported automation workstreams such as pricing automation for the Alcentra Pricing Committee, which included automated write ups, data extraction and broker price scraping, and it underpinned day to day Shadow NAV production and TPA interactions.
Governance for the Geneva deployment was embedded in existing operational committees, including the Structured Credit Operational Group and the Technology and Innovation Committee, with observer involvement on the Pricing Committee. The programme included oversight of audits with a focus on custody rule compliance and partial oversight of tax work, and it introduced new workflows for valuation approvals and stakeholder communications across portfolio managers and analysts.
Operational coverage included support for newly launched strategies and funds, ongoing performance reporting, and direct collaboration with PMs and analysts to evolve reporting solutions. SS&C Advent Geneva provided the accounting and valuation backbone within Alcentra’s Portfolio and Investment Management stack and was instrumental in consolidating fund control, reporting and pricing automation efforts.
