| Workday | Infor Lawson | Workday Financial Management | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2020 |
In 2019 Allina Health implemented Workday Financial Management, adopting the Workday Financial Management application within the ERP Financial category. The deployment replaced Infor Lawson and centralized financial management for Allina Health’s corporate finance and accounting functions.
The implementation configured core ERP Financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement controls, period close orchestration, and financial reporting and consolidation. Configuration work focused on chart of accounts rationalization, standardized account mappings, automated period close tasks, and business process frameworks native to Workday Financial Management.
Deployment used Workday’s SaaS cloud architecture, and in 2019 Workday enabled customers to run Workday Financial Management on Amazon Web Services, providing cloud-hosted infrastructure options. The project included migration of master data and transactional history from Infor Lawson into Workday Financial Management, and it established integrations with downstream financial reporting and revenue cycle consumers consistent with ERP Financial integration patterns.
Governance and process changes created centralized finance process ownership, new close calendars, role-based access controls, and audit workflows within Workday Financial Management. The rollout followed a phased approach for core modules with parallel validation of month-end close and reconciliations to ensure continuity of accounting and reporting operations.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Allina Health implemented Workday Benefits to embed Benefits Administration into its enterprise HR footprint alongside concurrent Workday HCM and Financials efforts. This deployment positioned Workday Benefits as the system of record for employee benefits data and workflows within Allina Health, linking benefits management to core HR and compensation processes.
The implementation covered core HCM and benefits-related modules, with configuration and automation work on business processes such as Hire, Change Job, Termination and Propose Compensation, and extension into compensation, performance and talent management workflows. Workday Benefits was configured to support benefits enrollment and eligibility processes and to align benefits events with compensation and hiring data from Workday HCM, using Workday Report Writer to create custom reporting for HR and payroll consumers.
Integration architecture included custom integrations built with Enterprise Interface Builder and Workday Cloud Connect, use of Core Connector Worker and Document Transformation to pull new hire and worker data, and heavy use of iLoads for bulk data migration. The team created custom integrations to third party applications, supported data conversion and mapping for assets, customer invoices and bank account conversion data extracted from an Oracle source, and built financial reports and interfaces that tied benefits costing into the broader financial environment.
Operational governance emphasized day to day support and process ownership for HCM business processes across HR, payroll and talent management, with report authorship and integration maintenance part of steady state operations. The implementation narrative reflects a tightly coupled Workday Benefits deployment, integrated reporting and EIB-based interfaces, and business process automation to operationalize Benefits Administration across Allina Health.

| Epic Systems | Legacy | Epic ASAP | Clinical Trial Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010 Allina Health implemented Epic ASAP as a Clinical Trial Management application. The implementation was positioned to support emergency department intake and acute care documentation workflows while surfacing structured data needed for clinical research enrollment and point of care capture.
Configuration work centered on Epic ASAP modules for triage, ED documentation, patient tracking and order entry, with EDT scheduling and clinician documentation flows adapted to clinical trial data collection patterns. Epic ASAP was configured to expose research enrollment flags and encounter-level documentation fields consistent with Clinical Trial Management functional needs.
Operational ownership resided within Allina Health IS application teams, staffed by credentialed Epic specialists experienced with Epic ASAP, EDT, OpTime, Anesthesia, ClinDoc and Willow. This internal cross-module expertise enabled interoperability and coordinated configuration across emergency department, perioperative and inpatient documentation and ordering workflows without introducing external system vendor references.
Governance and rollout followed a practice of application management and analyst-led configuration, credentialed technical training and iterative updates, supplemented by role based access controls and clinical workflow alignment. Ongoing IS application management roles maintained Epic ASAP configuration and supported operational changes driven by emergency department and research workflows.
