The implementation configured commercial sales capabilities including contract types, sales deal types, sales order types, pricing procedures, consignment, rebates, billing types, and smart-forms for invoice and order acknowledgement. Logistics and transportation configuration encompassed sub-contracting, batch determination, output types and determination, text types and IDs, partner determination, transportation zones, connection points, routes and route determination, stages, transportation groups, transport relevance, shipment ranges, shipment types, shipment variants, transportation planning points, shipment cost types, and pricing procedure for transportation.
Interfaces and enhancements implemented included scales integration and EDI 805, along with smart-forms for bill of lading, NAFTA, CBP, invoice, and order acknowledgement. The project delivered a full process flow for carrier payment and carrier settlement, aligning sales, logistics, transportation, and billing functions across the United States fiber cement operations.
Project governance reflected a consultant-led rollout, with SAP SD and SAP LE-TRA configuration and testing phases concluding in an on time go-live in October 2014. The implementation addressed logistics process changes encountered from prior AS400 operations, and the client realized consolidated process control through SAP ERP ECC 6.0.
