Tyler Technologies Legacy Tyler Incode Court Case Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Alvin Municipal Court implemented Tyler Incode Court to extend its Case Management capabilities and enable remote adjudication during COVID-19. The implementation was tied to Tyler Virtual Court, which was offered as a 90 day trial in March 2020 and enabled courts to conduct sessions entirely online. Tyler Incode Court was deployed alongside Tyler Virtual Court to provide video chat enabled virtual sessions, real time case information, document sharing, and automated post hearing summaries that link to the Incode court online resolution tool. The solution operates as a web based, mobile and secure platform maintained and hosted by Tyler on Amazon Web Services, allowing access on any device and supporting end to end case processing workflows. The implementation included an integration with Tyler Content Manager to centralize documents and reduce manual work for court staff, enabling staff to conduct hearings remotely and avoid postponing dockets. Operational coverage focused on the municipal court organization, its administrators and defendants, and was explicitly positioned to sustain court services during pandemic related shelter in place orders and during natural disasters such as hurricanes and flooding. Rollout followed the early Virtual Court adoption path, with Alvin among courts that moved to full implementation during the free trial period, and governance centered on remote hearing orchestration, automated communication to defendants, and using the Tyler Incode Court Case Management functionality to close matters in a single sitting. Reported benefits from the implementation included uninterrupted citizen service, broadened access to justice, fewer manual document tasks, increased appearance rates and the ability for defendants to resolve fines or set up payment plans immediately after hearings.
