In 2011 Amax Incorporated implemented the @GP Platform, deploying Microsoft Dynamics GP together with VSync EDI and SalesPad to automate high-volume EDI order processing. The implementation was US focused and centralized Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) into GP to support order-to-cash workflows across distribution and finance.
The solution combined Microsoft Dynamics GP core financial and order processing capability with SalesPad for order management and VSync EDI for trading partner communications. SalesPad was used to manage order entry and workflow orchestration, while VSync EDI handled inbound and outbound EDI transactions, with integration points into GP for orders, invoices and receivables posting.
Integrations included connectivity with major retailers Amazon, Office Depot/Max and Staples, and orchestration of 3PL partner fulfillment flows to support distributor retailer routing. The deployment covered distribution operations and finance teams, and the source indicates improvements in order processing, reporting and cash-flow within finance and the order-to-cash cycle.
CAL Business Solutions served as the system integrator for the @GP Platform engagement, executing EDI mapping and trading partner onboarding. Governance emphasis focused on standardizing order-to-cash processes and trading partner onboarding to sustain EDI operations and reporting improvements.
