| Serrala | Legacy | Serrala FinanceSuite | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Amdocs implemented Serrala FinanceSuite to centralize AP Automation across its global finance organization. The Serrala FinanceSuite deployment was executed as part of a full project life cycle under SAP Global FI consulting responsibility and targeted accounts payable and tax control workflows.
The implementation configured invoice processing and vendor invoice workflow capabilities, and it included development of an automated tax code determination engine applied to PO and Non PO invoices. The team implemented the Serrala FinanceSuite payment orchestration components alongside vendor invoice management capabilities to support VAT and other tax rules across jurisdictions.
Architecture and integrations were delivered as add-on integrations into SAP Global FI, connecting OpenText Vendor Invoice Management VIM and the Serrala Hanse Orga Global Payment Solution to SAP financial posting and payment execution. The technical design emphasized tight interfacing between OpenText VIM, Serrala FinanceSuite, and SAP accounting tables to preserve document flow and tax determination at invoice entry.
Operational scope covered global finance and accounts payable operations and tax compliance across 52 countries, with country localization managed closely by the SAP Global FI consulting team. Governance included centralized tax rule development and local country configuration management, the latter coordinated through the global implementation lead.
The implementation produced a state-of-the-art automated tax code determination for PO and Non PO invoices embedded in Serrala FinanceSuite, and the solution positioned finance, AP, and tax compliance functions to operate from an integrated AP Automation platform.
