The deployment targeted accounts receivable and revenue documentation workflows alongside expense reporting and payroll accounting, positioning SAP Business ByDesign as the primary system for invoice creation, receipt posting and maintenance of financial records.
SAP Business ByDesign was configured to support invoice generation, receipt and expense report processing, and general ledger posting, with category-aligned workflow automation for invoice and expense approvals. Operationally the system was used by the accounting and payroll function and operated alongside desktop tools including Adobe for scanning, Outlook for email communications, Excel for spreadsheets and QuickBooks as an adjacent bookkeeping tool. Governance emphasized complete filing and document retention to support financial records and standardized document preparation processes for invoicing, expense reporting and payroll documentation.

| Geotab | Legacy | MyGeotab | Fleet Management | SCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 American Disposal Services implemented MyGeotab as its Fleet Management telematics platform. The deployment centralized vehicle GPS telemetry from a fleet of more than 200 vehicles and established a single operational feed for fleet tracking and asset lifecycle workflows.
MyGeotab was configured to capture core telematics and diagnostic data and to support reporting used for maintenance planning and asset retirement decisions. The implementation included configurable reporting and data export capabilities that were consumed by internal Microsoft Access databases to produce operational reports and drive retirement workflows.
The operational environment integrated MyGeotab data with the company accounting and operational stack, notably alongside Great Plains accounting for subcontractor account processing and batch invoice workflows, and coexisted with TimeForce timecard data and a DMV EZ-Fleet company account. Geotab vehicle GPS feeds were administered to feed Access databases and the consolidated reporting layer that supported cross-functional stakeholders.
Governance and rollout included documented procedures for vehicle permitting, registration, and regulatory compliance across Virginia, Maryland, Colorado, and Georgia, with the database administrator maintaining fleet documentation and training the accounting team on data handling and reporting. Device management extended to Sonim push-to-talk phones for field communications, with registration and issuance processes aligned to fleet operations.
Reported outcomes tied to the environment included creation of reports from disparate databases to help determine when to retire fleet vehicles and automation of bill reconciliation through Excel that improved a prior manual procedure, both fed by the consolidated telemetry and operational data streams. MyGeotab served as the Fleet Management telematics source within this integrated operational and reporting topology.
