Sage Legacy Sage 50 Quantum ERP Financial ERP Financial Management Manufacturing Information Systems 2009 2009
In 2009, American Friction Technologies implemented Sage 50 Quantum as an ERP Financial application to centralize finance and improve coordination with manufacturing in the United States. The engagement was delivered by Manufacturing Information Systems and completed in a three months project that went live on July 1, 2009. Sage 50 Quantum was configured to provide core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, and inventory control while enabling transactional visibility into stock and cost data. MISys Manufacturing was integrated to add formal MRP and inventory planning capabilities, aligning production orders and material requirements with Sage 50 Quantum financial records. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts mapping, inventory valuation rules, and synchronizing item masters between the two systems. The integration established bidirectional exchanges of inventory balances, bills of materials, and work order status to keep planning and financial ledgers consistent across manufacturing and finance workflows. Operational scope covered finance and manufacturing departments at American Friction Technologies in the United States, supporting production scheduling, purchasing, and shipping processes. Governance and rollout included cross functional process alignment between production planners and accounting, structured user training, and a controlled go live on July 1, 2009. According to the customer case study, the combined Sage 50 Quantum and MISys Manufacturing implementation was completed in three months and resulted in near zero stock outs and 100% on time shipments.
