In 2015 Amundi Pioneer Asset Management implemented Microsoft Power BI to centralize reporting and analytics, establishing a firm-wide Analytics and BI capability to support sales management and strategy development. The Microsoft Power BI rollout was positioned to improve the quality and efficiency of management reporting and to provide self-service analytics for the internal sales desk and related revenue teams.
The implementation focused on delivery of configurable dashboards, executive reporting and ad hoc analytics designed to support CRM operations, training and data driven prospecting workflows. Microsoft Power BI was used to create operational scorecards and pipeline analysis that aligned sales enablement, training and digital prospecting activities with management strategy reviews.
The Power BI program ran alongside a CRM conversion to SalesPage and a transition to DST SalesConnect, and reporting workflows were coordinated with Meetings and Events, HR, Finance, Compliance and IT to align data inputs and governance. The program owner defined and drove the strategic data agenda for sales, serving as liaison across those departments and as point person for national sales and marketing meetings and quarterly business reviews.
The deployment was noted for being based on the Forrester recognized Microsoft Power BI platform and the combined CRM and reporting effort resulted in an overall improvement in data integrity and a reduction in headcount as part of efficiency gains.
