Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations ERP Financial ERP n/a 2019 2020
In 2019, Andean Telecom Partners implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial system to centralize finance and accounting operations across its regional entities. The implementation was led by the Director of Accounting and Finance Projects from inception through go live and into post production, with direct ownership of project management, system administration and training responsibilities. The deployment configured core finance capabilities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, security roles administration and the Dynamics 365 Lease module configured to meet IFRS 16 requirements. The team performed fit to gap analysis, process mapping and testing to align standard application functionality with Andean Telecom Partners finance processes and to govern configuration decisions. Integrations were implemented as part of the program, notably automatic interfaces from operational subsystems into the ERP to automate A/P and A/R invoicing, a host to host bank interface, and electronic invoicing channels to satisfy local tax statutory requirements in Colombia and Chile. Operational coverage targeted finance and accounting departments across Chile, Colombia, Peru and the United States, and the Director served as the primary trainer for new accounting and IT staff on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations functionality and administration. Governance was coordinated with the IT PMO, with the Director partnering with the IT PMO Project Manager to drive design, development, testing and delivery of finance capabilities. An audit approved process was established for data migration into Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, change requests were assessed through cost benefit analysis, and the Director supported the IT Director on financial systems audit and security roles administration to sustain compliance and operational continuity.
