In 2017, Aptiv implemented Paycor HR to serve as its Core HR system for a roughly 270 person nonprofit workforce in the United States. The deployment centralized employee master records and became the primary platform for HR administrative functions, employee relations casework, and policy enforcement across the organization.
Paycor HR was configured to support standard Core HR capabilities including employee record management, absence and leave management for FMLA and STD, basic benefits administration, performance management workflows, and recruiting lifecycle support. The configuration emphasized documentation and auditability to support investigations, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures described by HR staff.
Operationally the system was used by the HR team, payroll staff, managers, and organizational leadership, with processes in place for regular collaboration between HR and payroll. Paycor HR supported coordination of unemployment, accident and drug testing procedures and the management of worker compensation claims through case tracking and centralized HR records.
Governance centered on process controls and periodic data audits to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance, with HR generalists responsible for training managers on procedures for unemployment, leaves of absence, and performance management. The implementation formalized responsibilities for documentation of investigations and ongoing coaching of leadership, embedding Paycor HR into Aptiv human resources, payroll coordination, and associate relations workflows.
