In 2010 Aramark Uniform Services implemented Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) to support Field Service Management and related service operations. The engagement was led from a senior Oracle application techno functional perspective with responsibilities for implementation and support across finance, supply chain, asset tracking and service contract processes.
The implementation encompassed configuration and integration of Oracle modules including Oracle Receivables, Inventory, Asset tracking EAM, Service Contract, Order Management, HRMS, AR, AP, PO, BOM, GL, TCA, AIM, Field Service, Email Center, Project Management and LMS. Field Service Cloud was configured to align with dispatching, scheduling and service contract enforcement workflows consistent with Field Service Management functional patterns, while other modules supported billing, parts inventory and financial close processes.
Integrations and data movement included conversion of route accounting data from the RAS Route Accounting System to an Oracle R12 instance, customer interfaces between RAS and Oracle R12 and between ABS Abssolute and Oracle, and ACH Direct Debit inbound and outbound interfaces. The ACH outbound process was designed as a concurrent program and request set feeding a host program to generate an ACH file containing account holder name, customer number and net balance, the file was saved to specific network directories and encrypted for audit retention.
The technical stack and deployment architecture included Oracle 10g database and development tools, PL/SQL, SQL, Forms 10g, Oracle JDeveloper and JDeveloper 11.1.1.2, SOA, XML, Java and BI Publisher. Operating systems in the environment included UNIX variants Solaris and Red Hat Linux, AIX and HP-UX with Unix shell scripting used for automation, and development tools such as Oracle 10g Developer Suite, SQL*Navigator and TOAD were used during implementation and ongoing support.
