In 2014 ArcelorMittal USA implemented AssetWise Asset Reliability. Apps Category . The implementation was led from Cleveland, OH with an explicit focus on standardizing preventive maintenance and formalizing reliability engineering and planning workflows across maintenance and operations functions.
AssetWise Asset Reliability was configured to support indicator definition and scheduled routes as core preventive maintenance capabilities. Functional modules and capabilities implemented included indicator creation, scheduled routes, structured work order planning and weekly scheduling, and a reporting and analysis layer that aligned with departmental KPI standards.
Configuration work referenced Ivara EXP CMM now Bentley APM constructs for condition monitoring and scheduled route definitions, enabling consistent preventive maintenance scheduling and indicator-driven inspections. Operational coverage centered on maintenance, planning and scheduling, reliability engineering, and process development teams, with redesigned visual standard operating procedures and one point lessons to improve execution at the shop floor level.
Governance and workflow changes formalized a PDCA continuous improvement process, embedded root cause analysis and 5S events into maintenance lifecycle governance, and instituted transparency and cross functional collaboration in planning. Reporting and analysis were instrumented to support departmental KPIs and to measure adherence to preventive maintenance planning and scheduling practices.
