In 2013, Arett Sales implemented VAI S2K Enterprise as its Retail Management,Distribution ERP platform to standardize distribution, order management and retail operations. The deployment focused on integrating trading partner EDI flows and third party warehouse connectivity into the new VAI S2K Enterprise environment.
The VAI S2K Enterprise implementation configured core distribution ERP capabilities including inventory management, order to cash orchestration, purchasing and warehouse management, alongside EDI processing and retail transaction handling. Development work included building and maintaining Gentran EDI databases and mappings for inbound and outbound transactional documents, explicitly supporting 810, 850, 852, 856 and 860 document sets.
Integration work extended to third party warehouse exchanges where existing maps for 940, 945 and 997 documents were developed and maintained, tying warehouse receipts, shipment acknowledgements and functional acknowledgements into VAI S2K Enterprise. File conversion and data transformation tasks for onboarding and operational exchange were executed on AS400 and DB400 platforms, using RPG/ILE, ILE RPG, RPG IV, RPG III, SQL, Embedded SQL, SDA, DDM files, RLU, ICF files and MS-Word driven conversion artifacts to translate source records into VAI data structures.
Operational scope covered distribution, warehousing, procurement and accounts receivable functions, with governance practices centered on ongoing EDI map stewardship and change control for file conversion workflows. Arett Sales VAI S2K Enterprise Retail Management,Distribution ERP implementation established an integrated ERP and EDI execution layer to manage order, fulfillment and financial document flows.
