In 2014, Spar Kjøp deployed To-Increase Data Collection Studio as part of a broader warehouse modernization that also included To-Increase Advanced Warehouse Management and To-Increase Data Migration Studio 2013, all integrated with Microsoft Dynamics AX. Spar Kjøp is a Norway based cross-channel retailer operating 16 stores and a high-volume fulfillment center that handles more than 250,000 packages and two million pick lines annually, the deployment addressed intensive e-commerce, mail order, and store replenishment workflows. The implementation of To-Increase Data Collection Studio provided category-aligned Analytics and BI capabilities focused on real-time data capture and operational visibility. The deployment centralized device-level capture for PDAs, barcode scanners, and truck terminals, and standardized warehouse workflows to replace previously heavy customizations with out-of-the-box configuration, enabling consistent receiving, shipping, inventory management, order fulfillment, and planning processes. Architecturally the solution was implemented as a tightly integrated extension of Microsoft Dynamics AX, with explicit connections to identification and materials handling systems to support automated input and status updates. The integration pattern supported end-to-end warehouse transactions, from carton receipt through pick and ship, and exposed role-based information via the ERP role center so managers and warehouse workers could access targeted operational screens and analytics in real time. Governance and process change centered on standardizing ERP functionality and removing paper based procedures, with workflows instrumented for quality checks and exception handling. Reported outcomes included a significant reduction in technology ownership costs and IT overhead, warehouse productivity gains that accommodated growing order volumes without headcount increases, and picking and order fulfillment accuracy consistently close to 100 percent.
