In 2008, Askari Bank selected Oracle FLEXCUBE as its Core Banking platform, initiating a multi-year program with implementation partner Techlogix that reached go-live in April 2010. The selection targeted a consolidated core banking foundation to support the bank's full retail and corporate product set and to standardize branch processing across the network.
The implementation followed a phased branch rollout over two years, beginning with branch stabilization and operational handoff activities. Workstreams included a formal upgrade to FLEXCUBE Version 11.3 and a subsequent rollout of Oracle FLEXCUBE Islamic Banking, which expanded functional coverage to Islamic product processing and compliance flows.
Techlogix deployed separate support, rollout and upgrade teams that worked in close coordination with the Askari Bank IT organization, creating clear escalation paths and issue-resolution routines during the transition. Operational scope encompassed branch operations, retail and Islamic banking product processing, and central IT support functions across the bank's branch network in Pakistan.
By 2019 Techlogix was in its tenth year of providing FLEXCUBE support to Askari Bank and had transitioned many support functions to the Bank IT team, moving the effort into a standard operational support phase. Governance included segmented teams for rollout, upgrade and ongoing support, enabling continuous operation while major platform upgrades and functional expansions were executed.
