The solution was managed at a global level, supporting HR and Business Services processes across Aspen Insurance UK and aligning compensation workflows with payroll and travel expense systems. Governance and operational ownership rested with the Global HR Systems Manager, who led end-to-end management, roadmap development and delivery of HR information solutions. Collaboration with IT, HR and Business Services was used to maintain fit for purpose configurations, ensure data and reporting quality, and coordinate ongoing system and process changes across the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and adjacent HR modules.

Architecturally the work was delivered alongside broader platform initiatives, with Canvas operating in concert with Guidewire claims platforms and parallel transformations such as an on-premises DuckCreek to cloud DuckCreek SaaS transition. Integrations and operational handoffs were managed with the enterprise Policy Administration System service provider, while business process outsourcing and IT outsourcing relationships with GENPACT and COGNIZANT were coordinated across business teams and regions. Cloud strategy governance placed oversight on AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms for supporting infrastructure and platform services. Governance work included board-level documentation of project process, a formal change plan, investments plan and situational analysis reporting, and a reorganisation of IT and business transformation teams to improve delivery. The programme was led from the Chief Technology Officer office, with a dedicated delivery team of DevOps engineers, architects and senior project managers responsible for configuration, deployment and operational run governance. Program reporting documented operational outcomes, including a realised reduction in Information Technology department costs and operational expenditure of 35 percent over an 18 month period. Guidewire Canvas remains the cited front-end standard for claims user experience within Aspen Insurance UK Insurance Claims Management.
