Oracle Legacy Oracle PeopleSoft ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Asplundh implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP to consolidate core financial processing across its corporate and operating company estate. The deployment anchored ERP Financial capabilities in an on-premises data center, with operational responsibility assigned to an Infrastructure Operations and Technical Services team led by an IT manager. Oracle PeopleSoft ERP was configured to provide PeopleSoft financials functionality consistent with ERP Financial requirements, with emphasis on general ledger consolidation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, and financial reporting workflows. Configuration work targeted multi-entity chart of accounts and transaction posting controls to support accounting teams across the company. The implementation integrated with Tivoli Identity Manager ISIM and ISAM for identity and access governance and was supported by a centralized 24/7 help desk and outsourced network services for the corporate office and over 150 remote locations. Infrastructure operations were managed by a team of roughly 10 senior system engineers who maintained the on-premises data center and supported the application environment for Asplundh and its 43 operating companies. Governance and operational controls were formalized through IT policy creation, management, and enforcement led by the IT manager, with responsibilities covering PeopleSoft ERP support, identity management, and outsourced network coordination. The rollout emphasized centralized infrastructure ownership, standardized financial workflows, and a staffed support model to sustain PeopleSoft financials across the enterprise.

Oracle Legacy Oracle PeopleSoft Absence Management Absence and Leave Management HCM n/a 2017 2018
In 2017, Asplundh implemented Oracle PeopleSoft Absence Management to centralize processing of separations, leaves of absence and terminations as part of its Absence and Leave Management capability. The implementation placed Oracle PeopleSoft Absence Management at the center of HR and employee relations workflows across the United States. The deployment was configured to capture leave requests, record leaves of absence, and enter layoff and termination events directly into PeopleSoft employee records. Configuration emphasized absence entitlement tracking and workflow-driven approvals to align manager actions with HR policies, using PeopleSoft absence case records to maintain audit details and policy references. Asplundh integrated PeopleSoft with CaseBuilder to handle unemployment claims, hearings and appeals, linking claim and appeal case records to PeopleSoft separation and absence entries. Operational ownership sat with HR and Employee Relations, and the system supported customer service assistance to managers and employees for policy questions and employee relations inquiries. Governance focused on formalizing processes for separations and leave case handling, establishing HR and Employee Relations as the primary case owners and routing point for appeals managed through CaseBuilder. The combined PeopleSoft and CaseBuilder configuration created a documented workflow for case intake, adjudication and manager support within Absence and Leave Management.

Palantir Technologies Legacy Palantir Foundry Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, Asplundh implemented Palantir Foundry to establish a centralized Analytics and BI capability across its operational analytics and data science functions. The deployment of Palantir Foundry was positioned to support operational insights and advanced analytics use cases, aligning with the companys field operations and service delivery objectives as described by Asplundh leadership in public presentations. Configuration centered on Foundrys core data integration and transformation features, including pipeline orchestration, an ontology-driven data model, analytics workspaces, and operational applications for end users. The implementation emphasized data lineage and cataloging, role-based access and model governance, and workspace templates to accelerate analytics and repeatable data engineering workflows. Operational coverage targeted analytics teams, data scientists, and operational insights stakeholders, with Foundry ingesting enterprise operational and field data to create unified datasets and semantic layers for downstream analysis. Asplundhs approach and operational use cases were discussed by John Urbano, Director, Operational Insights of Asplundh, during a joint session at the 2nd Palantir Prix, which contextualizes the implementation in a peer forum. Governance and rollout focused on centralized data governance policies enforced through Foundrys access controls and ontology, with staged adoption by analytics and operations groups to standardize models and reporting workflows. The program prioritized institution of repeatable data engineering practices and governed analytics workflows to support enterprise scale analytics and BI initiatives without specifying external implementation partners.
